2010-2011 SeasonBallet Jörgen Canada (pronounced YUR-GEN) will perform the young people's ballet The Emperor's New Clothes in Ottawa, Toronto and surrounding communities as well as throughout Atlantic Canada. The Emperor's New ClothesThis ballet delights young audiences with imaginative choreography set to original music and colourful characters such as the vain and gullible emperor and the devious and cheating tailor. Our telling of the story is humorous and fun, promoting some clear life lessons for young audiences: To think for one's self, not give in to peer pressure, to trust one's instincts, and not believe everything that one is told! Each performance includes an interactive component and pre- and post-show discussions that engage young people, parents and teachers. English or French study guides with curriculum links are available for school shows, free of charge. Recommended for: Grade 1 to Grade 6
Languages: Narration in English or French
Duration: 50 Minutes
