Workshops

Ballet Jörgen Canada offers master class and workshop packages for dancers of various levels. We strive to create a safe environment in our classes and workshops that adheres to the basics of proper ballet techniques and promotes the ideals common to all ballet styles. Our goals are to:

1.) Instill the values of professionalism and dedication;

2.) Encourage students to be creative and discover their individuality, while also discovering how they fit into the greater whole of an ensemble;

3.) Develop a sense of studio etiquette and carriage;

4.) Teach students to take responsibility for their work and in what they do.

RESIDENCY

Ballet Jörgen Canada's Residency Program seeks to provide the opportunity for serious dance students that are not enrolled in large institutional schools to experience and learn more about the world of professional dance and to help bridge the gap between professional dance and the community dance school system in Canada. It is hoped this program will increase interest in professional dance performance, broaden awareness of works by Canadian choreographers, encourage talented students to pursue dance careers and make the world of professional dance more relevant to dance schools in Canada.

Ballet Jörgen Canada will teach repertoire to students that can be used for a performance. The artist in residence is also available to teach class to students. Repertoire chosen is dependent on the length of the residency and the level of the students.

Duration: 3 days - 2 weeks
Fee: $500 - $2000 (Fee dependent on duration of residency, repertoire, location)
