Solos & Duets is a unique program that Ballet Jörgen Canada is proud to offer in Toronto on September 17 & Halifax on October 24.
This program gives local choreographers the opportunity to work with professional dancers at no personal cost, with the goal of creating short works (approximately 3-4 min in length) using Ballet Jörgen Canada dancers. The finished product is completed within 8-12 hours of rehearsal time that culminates in a public studio performance.
Choreographers are allotted dancers as either singles, couples or trios (occasionally more, panding availability), and are asked to create a short work or choreographic explorative material. Studio space is provided by Ballet Jörgen Canada for the rehearsal process as well as the studio showing at no cost to the choreographers.
This is a wonderful opportunity for emerging or established choreographers to have access to tools, resources and dancers, and is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. For more information on how to register, please click here.

“My creative experience with Ballet Jörgen Canada was a very positive one. My dancers were extremely easy to work with and would try anything I asked of them.
